The Mint
When hitting up a night club in Los Angeles, one must include the Mint on their list. A local landmark, this Los Angeles night club was established in 1937. Its best known for its live music and over the years many greats have not only played here, they got their starts by playing The Mint. Back in the day, the likes of Stevie Wonder, Willie Dixon, Natalie Cole, Ray Charles and more graced its stage and more recently, Ben Harper, Macy Gray, The Wallflowers honed their craft and kicked off their careers playing this Los Angeles night club. Although live music is what we are known for, many people come to the Mint just to hang out, grab some of our tapas style cuisine and some drinks. The kitchen is usually open until midnight, there is a full bar and we have beer on tap and a great wine list to suit any palate and budget.

The Mayan
A jewel amid the concrete lofts of modern civilization, the newly renovated Mayan reopened in February 1990 in downtown Los Angeles. Built in 1927 by leading Los Angeles architect Stiles Clements and designed by Mexican artist Francisco Cornejo as a spectacular Mayan revival theater, it opened with George Gershwin's musikal "Oh Kay". It is one of only eight buildings built in pre Colombian style with hand-carved, richly painted walls, a spectacular Sun Calendar and chandelier. The Mayan boasts a proud heritage as well as facilites unlike any available on the west coast. It is a historical landmark that has been upgraded to include a refinished hardwood stage and dance floor, extensive intelligent lighting, and state of the art sound equipment. It is a multi-faceted gem that brings back to Downtown Los Angeles a social and cultural centerpiece where artists, observers, celebrants and urban dwellers can congregate in a rich and stimulating environment.

The Vanguard
While the 20000 sq ft space itself is cavernous, the design of The Vanguard provides the full spectrum of experience. Level 3 is a sleek , hip Nightclub and Special event space in the Hollywood and Highland Complex. With a versatile interior, we can host events from corporate cocktail receptions to sweet 16 birthday parties. It is our intention to be a Drug and Violence Free Environment. Balance
This 7 year running Saturday night dance club brought to you by veteran promoter of 22 years, Sue Dred aka Sue La Form, appeals to the real house music lovers and local underground scenesters. The red lights are low, the disco ball is gleaming, the dance floor is rockin' to the best house music the industry has to offer, with local and out of town guest DJ's weekly. True house heads approve of the all-star DJ lineup, while others are just happy to find a place that has easy entry, great music, a cool crowd, friendly staff and a ban on glowing things.
